February 2026 Impact
Quick recap! Everything at 431 comes back to three areas that we thrive at: Re:Storing Futures, Re:Building Confidence and Re:Newing Hope. Every class, coaching conversation, practical service, and referral is designed to move women forward in these areas. That’s why our Impact Reports are structured this way. We want to clearly show the real-life change happening as a result of the work our staff and volunteers are doing every day!
Re:Storing Futures
A key part of 431’s services is helping women who have experienced financial abuse gain confidence in their understanding of financial decisions. As part of her connection to services, each new woman takes the Re:Store Me Assessment and ranks herself on a scale of 1 to 5 in a variety of areas, including finances.
78% of women who answer choose a 1, 2 or 3.
This means most women begin their journey to independence unsure of their ability to manage money confidently.
February’s Re:Store Financial Emotions class started at the very beginning: recognizing that most financial decisions have an emotional reason behind them. When women coming out of financial abuse learn to identify the emotions driving their choices, they can begin making more logical decisions. Instead of reacting automatically, they can weigh what they are gaining with a purchase and what they may be giving up.
[The class] reminded me that taking action—seeking understanding and making healthy choices—is my best path toward a positive future.
I learned that every decision, including the financial ones, has an emotional component. Healthy emotions support wise choices, while fear, discouragement, or self-worth issues can undermine them. By recognizing the emotions driving my decisions, I can make better choices and create greater security for myself and my family.
Re:Building Confidence
After each Re:Store Class, the 431 team also hosts a Connection Lunch, which gives our engaged ladies a chance to connect, share stories and hardships and lean into the community that they are looking for. But because February’s class and lunch was held on Valentine’s Day, we had an extra surprise for the attendees.
We have an amazing young donor who asked us to call him if we ever needed supplies from Costco, so we put in a request for flowers! Bryson went above and beyond, dropping off more than 6 dozen roses and a variety of filler flowers and greenery.
The ladies were thrilled, and they each got to make a large Valentine bouquet to remind them that they are known, seen, and loved, even in the midst of their singlehood journey.
I love learning and growing beside courageous and beautiful women. I feel safe to be my authentic self… The flowers we got to make into bouquets at the end of our time together was so special. It filled my cup and ran it over!
Re:Newing Hope
The Re:New Self-Worth series continued through the month of February as we examined Counterfeit Identities and considered the identities that the Lord offers us through Scripture: Greatly Loved, Chosen, Masterpiece, Daughter, Friend, and Bride.
Through some powerful discussions, each of the ladies wrestled with their experiences in the past and worked to them down in comparison to the ultimate Truths that God gives us in Scripture. One of the participants shared:
My role as a daughter defined me and I felt a sense of shame anytime I didn’t measure up to the standard in my head of what a daughter should be. Through the Self Worth class I learned that as a creation of God all labels/ identities, such as daughter, do not define me. I have begun to see myself through a lense of His love and abundant grace that forever has changed me.
And last but not least, we had a celebration at the beginning of February for Stacey’s GRADUATION!
Stacey started her 431 journey in March 2024, recognizing that she needed strong women in her life to encourage her. She had some big life decisions coming up, and was struggling because of past trauma. Her Care Team jumped right in, meeting her where she was at, and helping her figure out that she could take the leap to some bigger and scarier things.
Stacey’s Graduation was particularly touching, because not only did her Mentors speak words of life and love over her as planned, but she turned around and returned the favor. Stacey made sure that each Care Team member was appreciated for the unique perspective they offered her, and multiple tears fell. God has big plans for Stacey, and we are so honored to have been part of her story!
