By joining the Known Giving Team, you are supporting a woman’s full journey to independence!
Make a monthly commitment of $101 or more, and you will help 431 serve up to 40 women each month!
This process includes pairing a new client with an advocate and offering classes, coaching sessions, advocacy, growth plan meetings, subsidized counseling, mentorship, and more.
Make a monthly commitment of up to $100 and 431 will partner your gift with someone else’s for the first 30 days of care!
This process takes a potential client from an intake call through our Re: Store Me Assessment meeting, which sets her up with an individual plan that gives her the next steps to take toward an independent future.
Jennie’s Story
Jennie originally heard about 431 through a local business. At 67, she is going through a high-conflict divorce and is scared to start over. She recognized the signs of abuse early on, but the process of leaving was more overwhelming than adjusting who she was to “make it work”. A friend had to call the police one night, and that was the final straw. Jennie is dealing with criticism from her coworkers, grieving the loss of her home, and is wondering “what’s wrong with me that I couldn’t leave before now.” 431 is stepping into each of those situations, teaching new communication skills, offering practical tools to manage her grief, and offered a new belief: that her value is not based on her past choices, and that she still has a future ahead of her.
Her story isn't over yet, but Jennie knows she now has support for the choices ahead… which is only because of our monthly donors.
